THE HONEST ANSWER
Master Tour still makes sense if one person plans for a very large crew, or if you rely on its built-in flight tools.
One planner, a big crew
Master Tour’s crew app is free to view, while every Daysync seat is paid. If one planner runs a crew of around 30 people or more, Master Tour can cost less.
Flight tracking and TripIt
Master Tour Professional has FlightAware flight tracking and TripIt imports built in. If your advance work depends on them, factor that in.
Familiar, but desktop-first
Many crew already know Master Tour. But recent Google Play reviews report crashes, slow loading and attachments that won’t open since its 2026 mobile update, and full editing still lives on desktop. Daysync is a modern app that works on every device, with editing on phone, tablet and desktop.
FAQ
Master Tour alternative: common questions
Quick answers for tour managers weighing up a switch.
How much does Master Tour cost?
Master Tour Professional costs US$64.99 a month billed annually, or US$74.99 month to month, for one planner. Crew can view itineraries in the Master Tour mobile app for free.
Is Daysync cheaper than Master Tour?
For most tours, yes. A 12-person tour costs US$30 a month on Daysync billed annually (US$36 month to month), compared with US$64.99 (US$74.99) for one Master Tour planner licence. Master Tour can work out cheaper when a single planner runs a crew of around 30 or more, because its crew access is free and every Daysync seat is paid.
Do crew need a paid Daysync seat to view the tour?
Yes. Every Daysync seat is paid, including view-only crew. Seats cost US$1.60–4.25 a month billed annually, or US$2–5 month to month, and the price per seat drops as your team grows. Every plan includes every feature.
Can I import my Master Tour data into Daysync?
Yes. You can import from your Master Tour account when you sign up, so the tours you’ve already built come across. AI Import also turns files, images and plain text into schedule items.
Can I keep using Master Tour while my crew moves over?
Daysync imports your Master Tour data. It doesn’t sync both ways, so changes made in Master Tour after you import won’t carry across. Import when you’re ready to run the tour from Daysync.
Can I use Claude or ChatGPT with Daysync?
Yes. Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Daysync and hand it the tour admin: forward an advance email and ask it to build the show day, or ask which days next week still have gaps. It only sees what you can see, and private DMs are never shared. Master Tour has no equivalent.
Does Daysync work on Android and offline?
Yes. Daysync has native apps for iOS, Android, Mac and Windows, plus a web app. You can edit offline, and changes sync when you reconnect.
Is Daysync a good fit for a small, self-managed band?
Yes. A band of four pays US$17 a month billed annually, or US$20 month to month, with no separate planner licence to buy. Every plan includes mobile editing, Tour Chat, guest lists and AI Import.
Can Daysync handle a festival or large production?
Yes. Daysync handles multi-venue days and tour personnel with advanced visibility and group controls, so each team only sees what it needs. Teams of more than 75 seats go on the Festival plan, which is priced to suit.
Does Daysync have set lists and flight tracking?
Not yet. Both are coming soon. If you rely on them today, Master Tour Professional includes set lists and FlightAware flight tracking.
What happens if you can’t verify my Master Tour invoice?
You’re on a standard 7-day free trial from sign-up instead, with every feature unlocked.
